CF 1911 45acp SVI Infinity Special Run

4.jpg

In case anybody wanted to see a picture. Same duotone concept as this.

I would be interested but just spent my monies on a CZ SP01 Phantom.
Oh well, next time.

Waiting for details on the STI

Should be out shortly.
Some great news it will be a choice of 9x19, 40S&W, and 45ACP
More to follow...

I will start a separate thread when orders are ready to go in.

BACK to the SVI deal, lots of interest, ZERO orders thus far due to the cost.

I am not trying to be a smart a$$ or down play the importance of military service and the benefits that come along with it, but I have seen several threads about special runs for Canadian military personnel etc. an there are a few of you that have an elitist pickle up your butts when a civi wants to get in on a special run gun. Instead of shutting the nozzle off to the maybe 10 people who are military personnel, why not let whoever wants one buy one, make a profit margin in the price of the gun (a few hundred bucks) and donate all the proceeds to an organization that helps injured soldiers, or any organization that actually helps the military and the people serving in it.

Personally I have no interest in the gun and I thank you all who have served for keeping my family and I safe, but maybe instead of making this thing into a few guys and gals getting a special run gun who served. Make it into a project that actually helps people serving or who have served. And lets face it, all the elitism is going to go out the door when the first person who needs some cash throws your ultra super special edition 1911 on the EE and flogs it for a grand.

I would drop 2 grand on a special edition 1911 in the blink of an eye if I knew it was going to a good cause.

Just a thought to ponder.

I understand your point but I think that it is more that the firearm companies are willing to give special pricing to military only, especially from the USA where they get a lot better perks for military service than in Canada.

No, if you had an order for 10 1911`s for strictly military personnel vs. 70 of a special run for both military and civilians. The 70 1911`s would get a much better discount. Even if a company loves serving military members. Its a simple fact based on numbers.

But that's neither here nor there, it was just a thought for a way some actual good could be done with the special 1911 run as suppose to a few elite getting a gun and locking it in their safe and jumping down civilians throats for showing interest.

Sounds great. Get a company on board, put it together, take the orders and make it happen. Let us know when you're ready to go.

If you want to save money on a gun do what I did...

sept 1 Join the big green machine
step 2 go to Afghanistan and see some f-up sh!t
step 3 order your gun

That simple...

and yes it sounds like you are #####ing.... Even if you dont want to do the above 3 steps... So why the hell should you save money on a forces deal...

Cant wait for the STI deal since this deal is to rich for me... Im sure it will beat the Para deal hands down... ( wont be hard )

Nuff said...

Elitest pickles....

Just a thought to ponder....

Go to a local airport when some boys are flying home from the sandbox.

Get in line behind them and shake everyone's hand and hug someone's family.

Look them straight in the eye and tell them that you think your money earns you the right to be treated the same as them....you should get the same greeting and benefits and military discounts that they do because as someone who's never served, you should still be able to reap the benefits of other people's patriotism in supporting the troops...

Then bam. In the blink of an eye, no-one there will speak to you again.

Membership may have it's priveledges, but it also comes at a personal cost that can't be measured in dollars and cents that you obviously have a very poor understanding of.

If you think that military folks are being "elitest" and that we have a pickle up our butts, guess what....saying that to most of us will simply give us the impression that you have your head up yours.

I'm gonna patiently await CdnCombat's discussions with STI to pay off and we'll see what he's able to pull together.

In defense of Lil Juiced Coupe His Idea is Sound

Mr. NavyShooter:
Having a Military ID doesn't mean you just got off a plane from the Sandbox.
(which is a pretty lame term I think)

You could be sitting in an office ,twisting a wrench or serving food for the last 10 years and never even seen a plane, left the province or let alone the country.
There are probably a 1000 people that have done more to protect and serve us and this country than them.Just a thought.

Congrats on the special order, it would mean more if it was offered by an official organization that recognizes the efforts and sacrifices of a particular group.
Not a special order started by a private individual. Anyone can have those.

That is true but when you sign there isn't a "no danger" clause you can choose and your office, mechanic shed or kitchen could very well be in Afghanistan. My neighbor just got back from Afghanistan and he has been away from his wife and kids for over a year with all the training and the tour.

For those of you who still don't get it, my wife was in the USA recently and with her Canadian military ID she got a room at a hotel that was $160 for $100. Companies will give generous discounts to military personnel in the USA, probably even better than a group buy for civilians as suggested.
