CF 1911 45acp SVI Infinity Special Run

Rivet,

You're right.

Many people not in the military contribute on a daily basis to Canada's national security efforts.

Many people in the military may just be sitting in an office....like I did for 2 years as an instructor at the Naval Engineering School. I detested being at the school...was I doing important work? Yeah, training the next generation of technicians who will be replacing me in the next few years. Did I miss being on a ship? H*** yes.

I was a REMF, and I hated it. That said, I did more to operationalize what they teach the techs at the school than anyone in the past 15 years.

*sigh*

I guess I'm done.....if you guys don't get it, my words aren't going to change that.

So, back to your moaning and dripping that someone in the military is organizing something for other people in the military, getting special military pricing from distributors, and not inviting civilians.

Have a great day!

NS

Thanks

Interested in the STI , but not so much with the SVI due to the cost of them to begin with... Please Post the info on the STI when the order is ready to be started....Thanks for putting this together CanadianCombatMedic.....dont let the complainers get you down...As we all saw in the deal marstar set up recently you can,t please everyone .

I really shake my head at some people. For the people who do not qualify for this, maybe I could make this a little easier.

Money + Military Service = STI Special Deal
Money - Military Service = Do your own deal and celebrate being civvies.

For the people who qualify, news should be coming out shortly. Thanks for being patient.

We might come off being a little elite, well frankly because we are lol. Im on my 2nd combat tour as a medic and well......my skills are pretty good and have done alot.

Companies will give generous discounts to military personnel in the USA, probably even better than a group buy for civilians as suggested.

Not to disagree (I have an honourable release, but don't feel that what I did in the reserves qualifies me for anything that might suggest I saw more than the inside of a deuce) but the reason that US Service people get discounts everywhere has something to do with the fact that their pay is sh*t compared to ours, and most folks know it. That said, I fully support your efforts to commemorate your service with others who have shared your experiences. If anyone does a Cold War bench warmer Comemorative I'm in like stink.

In defense of Lil Juiced Coupe His Idea is Sound

Mr. NavyShooter:
Having a Military ID doesn't mean you just got off a plane from the Sandbox.
(which is a pretty lame term I think)

You could be sitting in an office ,twisting a wrench or serving food for the last 10 years and never even seen a plane, left the province or let alone the country.
There are probably a 1000 people that have done more to protect and serve us and this country than them.Just a thought.

Congrats on the special order, it would mean more if it was offered by an official organization that recognizes the efforts and sacrifices of a particular group.
Not a special order started by a private individual. Anyone can have those.

You don't know much about military life. We don't work 9-17:00. We don't work Mon-Fri. I spent 185 of the last 400 days away from my family and I didn't even go to Afghanistan.

Even if I was "just" a Clerk or a Mechanic (or other trade), we're all cogs in the wheel. Every job is required to keep this damn welfare military running.

Every single one of us is expected to come to work even when we're sick, tired or the kids have been barfing all night. We don't call in sick because we were out drinking the night before. We go to the aid of other people and leave our families at home to fend for themselves. Ask the people of Quebec how they felt after the ice storm or the people of Manitoba after the flood.

If some company wants to offer me a deal, wether I want it or not, it's their damn choice to recognize that I am willing to shred my life to protect them.

I dont call 55 K a year well paid. If I count hours worked I dont even make 10$ an hour... :p But I love what I do... So that in itself is worth it. :D
