I'm looking at getting my RPAL as I've fallen in love with the CZ75. It is my understanding that there is a .22 conversion kit for it and I was wondering if anyone had this set up and could give me some feed back on it.

Also, besides the sig 226 and the CZ75 are there any other decent centerfire to .22 conversions out there?

Thanks.

PS: i did search, didn't find much

There are also conversions for the 1911 type of pistols.

I started down this road, but quickly discovered that I can have a dedicated .22 "trainer" for the same cost as a conversion kit. For example:

GSG 1911: $379 w/ free shipping at forum sponsor Badger Arms.
Ruger 22/45 Stainless: $410 at forum sponsor Ellwood Epps.
Sig 226 .22: $609 at forum sponsor Questar.

I wound up going with the Ruger, given that they are proven reliable and accurate enough for bullseye shooting.

To play devils advocate, you could choose the Sig 226 over the CZ. Then you could buy the 226 classic .22 caliber ($609), plus the up-conversion kit for your choice of 9mm/40/375 ($514). For a little more than $1100, you'll have the best of both worlds. Check out Questar.
