weird thought

I hear it tastes like chicken! LOL

I'd have a hard time getting past the smell, they really stink while you skin them,
let us know how it turns out

I have a friend who lived in Korea for a few years who hate dog many times. He said it was tasty. Can't see yote being any different if cooked the same.

I would have to be a million miles from an outpost, and even then I think there would be something else I could find to eat.

I once dated a cambodian girl who ate dog in her home country before coming to canada. I know other asian cultures eat dogs. I always said if it was meat I could eat it but I don't think I could bring myself to eat a coyote or wolf. Unless for survival I was just curious if anyone had actualy eating one

I have a hunch that anyone who says you can eat a coyote has never skinned one - and a wolf is even worse. I'll wait until I'm in a Gulag, and maybe reconsider then....after I run out of rats and lizards and such.

coyotes eat dead animals and other trash.. I dont think the dogs people eat are fed road kill and such maybe Im wrong

If you were to save the arse hole and not cook it , after you eat the yote meat off the BBQ you could lick it to get the taste of the meat out of your mouth !

Might Help

Ditto, in 1988 I collected bounty on a wolf taken in Northern Ontario. I dragged the carcass through hip deep snow for 1/2 a mile and then along a goat trail for another mile strapped to an improvised sleigh made of my snowshoes (yes the snowshoes I needed!) to the trunk of my car. Then the drive to the township office to collect bounty. The clerk stood back about 20 feet with a hanky over his face while I almost puked lifting the trunk cover and closing it after he confirmed this was an actual wolf. Once I was cut the cheque, I was to dispose of it myself. Hardest earned 35 bucks I've ever gotten.
It took about a month before the putrid aroma was gone from my car!

When I was in hogh school a friend and I used to make jerky every fall and bring some to school. Everybody became mooch's and ate everything we had all the time. One night we cut up an old coyote and a roadkill badger and spiced it up and smoked it. A few days later we brought it to school and were very generous. When the bag was empty we told everyone what they ate and the puking started. Only one guy asked for more cause it tasted good. They girls told on us and we caught hell. Good times.

never would I feast on that beast

I have shot more coyotes than most people have seen in a life time, and the last thing that would ever come to my mind would be to feast on the beast.

Yuck...

They stink and the only thing their dead carcass is good for is to attract other coyotes so that you can shoot them too.
