I bought an Edge last month chambered in .22-.250 with a Bushnell Sharpshooter 3-9x40 scope mounted on it at Canadian Tire for $406.00. Today I finally got a chance to shoot it for the first time and sight it in. Personally, I like the look and feel of the stock, mind you I wish the forestock was a little stiffer. I find the bolt cycles pretty nicely and becomes smoother with more use. The 6lb trigger pull is heavier than I would like, especially after shooting my Model 111 with Accutrigger.
I set up 2 targets at the range, one on the 50 yard line and the second on the 100 yard. Out of the box, the scope was sighted pretty good. Using factory ammo, Winchester Super X 55gr Pointed Soft Point, the first 4 shot group was 1 up, 4-5 left. Making adjustments along the way, my 12 and 13th shot were in the center ring. Shots 14 & 15 are in the upper left, 16 & 17 are upper right.
Before starting on the 100 yard target, I cleaned the bore. My first 2 shots were 1 down, 1 left, the third was in the center ring. I made adjustments and more next groupings were starting in the top left corner going clockwise. In my final 5 shot group, the bottom left, I have 1 round unaccounted for

I don't know where it went... the lower right hole was not part of the final 5.
The weather today was -2, ~80% humidity and light fluries. Near the end of my session, I was having issues with my breath fogging up the scope and making visibility a little difficult down range.
Overall, I am more than pleased with how this rifle performed, and so far I think I got more than what I paid for. The only 2 things I would like to change is the stock and the trigger. Perhaps Savage will make an Accutrigger and Accustock kit for this gun in the future......
