I took the thing apart today down to the frame thinking ill watch youtube as usual for reassembly but there is nothing for video showing how to do that. Any idea where i can find how to make it a gun again instead of a bag of parts lol? Heeellllpppp!

nothing down to the frame only, but did you see this? look up a regular 1911 video (armory channel has a 40minute long one) that may help getting it back together

yea I saw that one but this thing has 4 extra parts of a normal 1911 no idea how they go together...

The good news is that everything seems to be standard 1911 design, except for one small screw on the side.

Do a google search for "1911 forum". There are a couple of huge websites dedicated strictly to the different brands of 1911 pistols. You should find everything you need to know and more.

Good Luck.

Yes.

Take off the mainspring housing and grip safety.

The springy piece of metal underneath is not seated properly.

The springy metal piece splits into three leafs at the top. The leaf on the left is your problem. You have it underneath the little piece that it needs to be on top of.

You will need three hands to do it properly. Take your time.

"That would be called the sear spring and it has a slot on the bottom that helps it too."

Yes, it's a spring that doesn't look like a spring.

It can also help to put the mainspring housing on half-way to hold the "sear spring" in place while you put on the grip safety. After the grip safety is on, you can then push the mainspring housing all the way up and insert the small pin at the bottom.

Make sure that the leaf on the left stays firmly on top of the small metal linkage during the assembly.

thanks guys..

It was drenched in thick lithium grease so I figured I should clean that off and use normal lube just like every other gun. Works just fine now, that spring was a bit of a pain, way more difficult than my Taurus 1911. Safety however is busted and I am one of many, new one should be in the mail tomorrow...

I guess my question is why did you feel the need to take the thing apart in the first place? Was something not working?
