Hooked on Utah, the show that this was to be featured on is scrambling fast and had lawyers threaten all the guys hosting the vid on Youtube with legal action due to copyright. They are in full scale damage control mode now. They are trying to bury it. Probably won't have much luck getting the Feds to destroy their copy though.

Here's the response from Hooked on Utah sent to a fella who had a link to the vid posted:

"No we are not happy! During the filming and editing of this show we did not see this happen, it wasn't until a friend of mine sent us an email letting me know he had see this issue, we immediately removed the videos and contacted the DWR . We "Hooked On Utah" are very conservation oriented, we always obey the state and federal laws on our show. This is a huge black eye for us to say the least! It's very unfortunate that the guides we chose for this outing did this on our show, had we seen this happen during filming we would never have aired the show, and we would have acted on it at that point. We have too much to lose to be associated with this kind stuff. At this point we have given the footage to the Utah DWR, we would ask that you take this link down! We have notified all of our show sponsors and we will be issuing a statement.

If you have questions about how serious we consider this matter and having this removed, please contact our Attorney Whit Johnson at Stoel Reives in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Are there not some seasons in particular States that allow unplugged guns?

I believe New Jersey is one of them?!

Correct, I was merely pointing out that to say 3 round max for migratory waterfowl cannot be used as a blanket rule. I really haven't read to far into other regulations in the USA but perhaps other states have this as well. Additionally, the ghost loading question/debate comes into play. Legally, he may have only had 2 rounds loaded into the magazine. The 4th could have been sitting in the elevator. Anyways, I am just as disturbed by this, Jeff Foiles always came across as a pure killem' kinda guy and was marketed to the black hoody killing crowd.

Guy shoots at a goose 4 times. Max you can have in your gun is 3 for migratory.

Different states and provinces have different wording in their regulations.Saskatchewan only requires that the magazine be plugged to hold no more than two rounds.Some shotguns will hold and cycle four rounds with only two rounds being in the magazine at one time.

I wasnt raised to be a rat. I don't get all excited when I see a guy not wearing a seatbelt or talking on cell phone and report him to the cops either. Different thing if a guy is out poaching deer all year round or something like that but to get all horny and reved up over 4 shells in a shotgun....come on!!

What's the difference between poaching deer and poaching geese? How do you know he isn't out there all year doing the same? I'm sure he only poaches geese and not deer, he must be one of those ethical poachers.

There is supposed to be a plug in that shotgun,limiting it to three rounds.If the plug is out(a violation in itself),how many rounds did he have in the gun? These guys are poachers plain and simple,and deserve whatever punishment they get.The fact that they are poaching to make the videos look better and therefore for financial gain just makes it worse. Both are breaking the law, that is the only perspective that matters. If you consider the two unrelated then I can understand where your lack of grammar comes from.

An extra 12 guage shell and child molestation...yeah it goes hand and hand. You'd think in all your wisdom that you would figure out there's variying degrees of law breaking. You might think that an extra shell in a shotgun is equivelent to child molestation but I as well as the Canadian Justice system disagree. Lack of grammer....is that best you can do..or "put you in a video" come on LOL..

The point I was making is breaking the law is breaking the law. Foiles is accused of alot more than an extra shell in the gun. Where do you draw the line on what is "ok" to turn a blind eye to obviously to you this is ok, poaching is ok, just so long as it isn't deer all year long right? My point is, as ethical hunters and sportsmen we as a group cannot accept this kind of behavior from anyone in any shape or form. Poaching is poaching and the "fish cops" should be called, just as you would for a child molester.
