I am pleased to announce that in addition to the match schedule posted earlier for 2011 the members of EESA have voted to add an additional match to our 2011 offering.

Nov 26th and 27th will feature the

MOVEMBER MATCH to raise money for Prostate Cancer Canada.

The match will be a Level II match. Nominally it will be an indoor only match of 6 or so stages.

Match Fee will be $40 with a tax reciept for a portion of the match fee.

All Net Proceeds will be donated to the Charity.

Details on the match will come as we get closer to the event.

Hope it's just as fun as this years was!!

Actually come to think of it I never did get a tax receipt from this year match:confused:

That is because they are sent out at the end of the year. Not to mention it took FOREVER to get peoples information for the reciepts.

Next year that data will be required for registration so I do not spend months chasing people.

Will there be a minimum length of mustache to register for this event?

Would a goatee put you in Open?

:)

Looking forward to it.

this is awsome guys i wish i was ipsc certified soon though.just a thought ive actually been thinking about trying to organize something like this at a club level but involveing every club across the country maybe just a fun bulleseye type shoot to raise money for breast cancer. Now there is a evil darkside to my plans get the media involved all across the country and start making some headlines showing how us the evil gun owners arent the evil woman beatting babykillers were made out to be and at the same time we raise some money for a good cause.if things went well it could be an anual event but with a diffrent charity each year.think about it its good press a group of men and women standing proud with there firearms used in the competition handing a check over for such a good cause. s**t iam stealling the thread lol some advice guys definatly get the media involved and not just the small local paper something like the star or the sun also get every ipsic club to do the same thing bigger the check bigger the story

And Storm is on the Media's case incessantly, LMAO!

LOL..........who me?

I have already contacted CBC radio to give them a heads up to next years event.

Jimbo........I must try to do a better job of media hog if you do not know me.

For the record this is EESA's 6th Charity Event

2006..... $2500 for EESS High School Drama Dept
2007.... $3500 for EESS High School Drama Dept
2008.... $5000 for EESS High School Drama Dept. This money was rejected by the School Board. That week I was doing 7 interviews a day as far away as Austrailia. In the end the money was donated to a young orphan CF patient to buy him much needed equipment to help him breathe
2009 $4350 for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
2010 $10178 for Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

2011 as it is only a level II match I predict about $3000 for Prostate Cancer

In addition to the Chaity match I am also media director for the EESA Open Houses. In 2010 we had 1295 visitors to the club and a few from local media.

John;
Don't know how you do it, but you run matches for charity and still manage to improve the outdoor ranges and the indoor range all the while keeping match fees at a reasonable level. Looking forward to next November's match.

Seriously............it is the great EESA team that does it. It is by no means a one man show anymore.
