I recently received a really great used commercial rifle stock, but it came of a gun that was bedded. I am loosely using the term glass bedding because there are probably more kinds of compounds available.
What should I use to remove the material from the stock?
I have a Dremel tool with attachments is that the only way to remove the material?

A Dremel is probably the easiest way to do it.Take out what ever doesnt look like bedding and leave the rest of it( if its bedding). JUst bevel it down so you have a good base for rebedding your rifle with the proper stuff.

Sharp chisels/gouges and a leather mallet... try and remove small pieces at a time... and a Dremel with a little router type bit on it...
