Sorry for the provacative title but I thought more than a few here would find this interesting.
I love the AR rifle and have been the owner of a Colt H-Bar and currently a Stagarms M-4.
That being said I bought an XCR with both .223 and 7.62 x 39 barrels and have nothing but good to say about it. Super fast on the double taps and 100% reliable.
Being a bullet caster and reloader, one of the reasons I bought the gun was that I suspected it would work well with cast bullets in 7.62 x 39. Low and behold it works great. Below are my results. Bullets are from the Lee 160gr mold, unsized and tumble lubed with gas checks. About one third linotype to wheelweights with 20 grains of 4198. I put 50 rounds through the rifle and had no signs of leading or malfuntions. Just an unmagnified dot for sights.
