What made these tracks?

These showed up over night by my house. I get Coyote and Fox through my yard but these little ones I'm unfamiliar with. Something like a Weasel?

Small rodent like a mouse or mole. I would defer to the first as they are active all seasons.

Ermine? (small weasel) IIRC, thier tails are pretty light and do not leave marks like a mink.

no, weasel tracks don't look anything like this.

If that's a mouse----WoW, is he ever humungus!!
Doesn't look anything like any mouse track I ever saw.
Doesn't place his feet in the usual way a weasel does.

Could be a rat many times the tail doesn't show in the snow.

The weasel family of mammals hops with feet in pairs. So I think that can rule them out.

With nothing to show scale it's near impossible could be a mole could be elephant??? Look like house cat to me but like I said no scale size so?????

You missed the Coyote track comment. You can also see broad leaf grass in one or two of the pics. I'll take a ruler out there tomorrow and get you accurate measurements.

Looks like rodent tracks, but I'm not good enough to narrow it down. Hopefully a trapper reads this and can help.

I would think so but the snow is kind of hard/crystalline so I thought it might not be the case.

Thats much too small to be a muskrat, tail drag or not. Im guessing red squirrel?
