Look no further. Currently on the market there is .17 HMR, .22 WMR and .17 HM2.

I have one in a Rem 597 semi...Not one problem with it.

Volquartsen is making semiauto .17 HMR rifles. The Remington one has been discontinued and recalled.

Volquartsen makes one that, according to my research, is the only one on the market that doesn't pose any danger.

I just ordered one. It should be here in a few weeks.

The only comercial made semi 22 hornet that I know of was a company called KIMBALL ARMS Co. 22 Hornet semi-auto pistol made similiar to the famed 1911, less than 100 ever produced due to extraction and lock up problems. I know Frank Dehause built a couple Hornet semies on Winchester self loading 35 WSL rifles, but had problems with rims getting ripped off on exctraction, cheers Dale Z!

Yes and yes. Prophet River can import Volquartsen rifles and 25 round magazines on a special order basis.
