Picked this Taurus pt1911 as my first gun. Absolutely love it. Shoots awesome. Very sturdy, tight build. not a single complaint. 100% satisfied customer.

When i got it, it was all matte stainless, decided to give it some accents and polish the chamber part of the barrel + all controls. I can't stop looking at it now, i absolutely love it.

It came with very nice bullshead wallnut grips, but i really wanted the finger grooves, so i switched those.

I know to a lot of you its just another 1911, but remember how you felt when you got your first one...You just wanna take nice pictures and show your gun #### to everyone.

cheers.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Great pictures too. I've seen many guns come and go over the years but personally never have owned a Taurus.

Looks like a real shooter and I am glad you are happy with it. If you don't mind me asking what was the price range you paid for it.

Take Care

I don't see many dealers in BC carrying Taurus which is too bad, they make some nice and affordable pistols. Not sure which site sponsors do. Where did you purchase your PT1911?

Those grips look awesome with the stainless gun. I have only heard good things about Taurus 1911s. Looks like it should be a lot of fun to get that beauty dirty!

Canuck,

i paid 1044$ taxes included. Came with carrying case of course, an extra set of black grips, and 2 magazines. Aslo keep in mind that Taurus has a lifetime repair warranty on their guns, so its really a great buy. The reviews and range reports for this gun don't lie either.

It went something like this : i contacted Freedom Ventures who is the canadian wholesaler for Taurus. He indicated to me that since he only wholesales (at least for Taurus'), i had to go through my local gun shop. And so the local gun shop gave me the retail price and ordered it from Freedom Ventures. badabing badaboom.

All you need is some white pearl handgrips and you will make Jules from Pulp Fiction very jealous.

not a bad idea :p i'll have to consider that.

Aslo keep in mind that Taurus has a lifetime repair warranty on their guns, so its really a great buy. Lots of "custom" features too straight out the box : ambi safety, polished feeding rail, etc. (theres a list of 16 "custom" features that come standard on this gun) from the factory. The reviews and range reports for this gun don't lie either.

I should also mention that Sean from Freedom is one great guy to deal with on all levels. Fast and easy comms, very helpful, great follow up.

Looks nice! makes me miss mine :(

I see they changed it a little. They used to polish sides on the gun, but I think I like the new look better!

yeah me too. i also feel that you have more esthetic modification options when its all matte. That way if you still want the sides polished, you can get em done.

looking at yours and the recent sales on the taurus 1911 looks like a value for the money. give us a ranges report when you get a chance.
