Well, why would they?:nest: We can find out. Lets just ask here.
I could not resist after reading October's minutes.
Interesting info in those minutes.:bangHead:
And yes I am s**t disturbing and joining both for 2011.

Attack!

Most of the people I shot with when I first started were very anti-ipsc. A few of them had shot IPSC for years, but just got sick of it.

More and more though, I find myself meeting many shooters who shoot both. I don't think they are mutually exclusive sports. I like shooting both, depending on what mood Im in

Clean your glasses John. You'll note the issue was not brought up by the BOD, but was an issue raised by one club rep for discussion. Give the issue the weight it deserves.

Folks add and switch sports regularly for many reasons. I love IPSC, but if NRA Action pistol was popular with more than a small group of clubs, I'd probably be torn.

I don't have a lot of time to bother with IDPA, but clearly it's got a core group of support, and will thrive or fail on it's own merits.

Isn't IDPA slow and boring? I guess there is some people who prefer to shoot like that, so it shouldn't be an issue. :stirthepot2:

lol, my preconceived notions of ISPC being a fast shooting sport has caused me to consistently do poorly at those matches.

Still need to slow down and cut out the number of mike's I seem to be getting.

No doubt.

I seemed to have developed a certain fluidity shooting IDPA, but you calling IPSC "drag racing with a gun" just couldn't stop me from pulling that trigger as fast as possible :p

Lol...we're so worried about it we put a link to IDPA on the website!
Honestly it's all good, I shoot anything I can, IPSC, Action Pistol, Precision Rifle, CQB and I have shot Bullseye and PPC, once in awhile I play on the trap range. We'd all be better off if we get along instead of competing for members.

It is only slow if you let it slow you down. I see it as IPSC with a long jacket (or fishing vest;):p) , mag retention rules and slightly more cover issues. LOL.

(Can someone post that link about IDPA again....:p)

A well rounded shooter knows the value of PPC type shooting,....bullseye and IPSC. IDPA is just another game/sport from what I have seen and experienced.

+1,...we all have to get along if we want to continue to possess firearms.

+1 Onagoth - my New Year's Resolution is to slow down enough to get as many A's as possible hopefully only adding a few seconds to my runs. I wonder if RUReady makes an electronic calander...

I have shot IDPA, and as soon as I can free up some cash, I'll join and participate there too. In spite of the differences, there are so many similarities that one can't help having one discipline act as practice for the other.

Exactly how I feel. Wish this thinking was common place.

You'd all drop ipsc/idpa if we could get 3gun off the ground here in Canada like it's taking of in the states. LOL
