Don't know about all you guys, but it is way too much stuff to carry for 3gun matches. I like the agility and speed of IPSC.

and then some more
SCORCH!!!I would like to see one day a match with say 3 IDPA stages and 3 IPSC stages. Any IPSC or IDPA shooter can enter competition. It should be lots of fun and will help to understand each other.

I havnt done either yet, im doing the black badge course in Jan. I was told that IDPA was good in one respect cause it uses stock pistols not the pimped out ones that guys have in IPSC. I was at the range one day watching a guy who was at one time #4 in Alberta for IPSC. He must have had 30000 dollors worth of guns and parts there. He was slicker then s**t, so im sure he could knock the lights out with a stock pistol as well. I just dont know enough about it all yet, but i find both sounding interesting.
John, you sound like your friend Vinny and my post proves exactly NOTHING.
My comment had nothing to do with 3gun rules. You can't get away to loading all 3 guns and the ammo to the car to drag them all to the range and then drag them around the big range too.

The only competition I am aware of in which you have to carry all your gear including guns in the Ironman competition and that is the ONLY one.
Meh.
From a beginners IPSC perspective, the serious IPSC guys take the sport way too seriously and always want to compete, whereas the IDPA guys seem more content to just enjoy the sport for what it is and not be as competitive. From my perspective IDPA seems way more friendly towards newbies in the sport.
Just my .02 though, I may be wrong.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
