Man charged in coyote shooting

A Havelock man has been fined $700 for shooting a coyote on a road.
Robert Munro pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm in a right of way.
Court heard that on November 6, Munro shot a coyote on Glen Allen Road near Marmora.
A person had been jogging on the road just prior to the shooting. As a result of a complaint filed with the Ministry of Natural Resources, a conservation officer conducted an investigation.
Justice of the Peace Sam Cureatz heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville, on December 21.
