Was happy to leave work early and grab a package on my way home. Only snapped two pics on my blackberry so they aren't the best... but hey it's a Marstar SKS, you all know what they look like

After a few minutes I had it down to this

Tonight will be the cosmoline cleaning... I wiped up all the easy stuff but didn't get a chance to really get at it due to some issues with my ducks

Can't wait to crack open the ammo crate and get too it! :ar15:

Duck issues can be problematic.

My nephews are wanting an SKS so badly. I recommended the Chinese Army over the Russian. Let me know your impressions of it and better pictures would be nice.

5 of the ducks decided the neighbors pond was a better spot than my 110 acres. Had to go out and spend 2 hrs getting them out of the water. They better be laying lots of eggs come spring!

I will take more pics tonight. So far everything looks pretty good. But realy have to pull of the cosmoline to get a good look at her.

you're going to love it. the stocks are ugly but they shoot awesome!! at least mine does. got mine couple months ago. no regrets

i was shooting beer tins at 75 yards with iron sights.. can't complain about that.

Why?

EDIT: Just read through your sig link... interesting info... I'll see what I can find.

im keep track of what has arrived and what features it poccess. like pin barrel or short lug or long lug.

you may block the last two digits of the SN.

Chinese SKS

Hey I found your thread !!

I bought mine with Kilo's and stripped the stock down and stained it black - totally changed the look of the gun, looks like a synthetic stock now - will post up pics tonight

Hye Kilo69 I was worried that the Chinese SKS from Marstar wouldn't have decent wood because of some of the talk about the difference in quality between Chinese and Russian. Your SKS's seem to have nice wood stock.

Has annyone found a good deal on bulk 7.62 ammo. I bought 1200 rounds shipping an HST included for $271.00 at Frontier Arms. My buddy and I are splitting the case which comes out to $135.50 for 600 rounds each. Any dealer near where I live is sold out of cases and they want $6.00 per box. I live in Northern Ontario. Also did anyone think of changing the free floating firing pin to one of the Murray spring loaded ones? Not sure if you can buy those kinds of gun parts and have them shipped to Canada from the U.S.?

I did the murray spring mod about 6 months ago and they shipped to canada without issue. I think its worth it to prevent full auto, but really if you just clean it after shooting you can check really easily that the firing pin is able to move. Also if you watch the video on how to take the firing pin out on youtube once you get it loose its very easy to take it apart to clean.
