New Detachable shotshell Carrier

I'm up for one on price point alone. Being a guy that has a "tactical" turkey gun, it would be nice to just remove it when I don't want it. I've got to put together another S&J order soon and this will be the first thing I add. My only dislike is the fact that you have the velco on there after you take it off, but I can get past that. :D Nice job Simon.

Yes good point for those that dont own 20+ shotguns, just the one multi use gun.
If you looking to order , SFRC has them in stock hes just slow getting the website updated, must be all the drinking last night.
We would raither you buy from one of our dealers, but we are allways hear to help if needed.

We will have 2,2,6 &8 round units coming, but our issue was getting the right webbing ect and doing this right the 1st time.
Boy theres a lot of crappy fabric out on the market, the good stuff is in high demand!

This is a great idea. I have the same idea on my 870 and has worked great for years now! Mine was US made so its great to see a Canadian version! Well done. It's very handy for the days where you dont need a shell holder too. Can have it on the side of the reciever or the stock.

PS: A much better price too:D Well done!

Certain Tac vests have such shell holders velcroed inside a small front pocket. Eagle Industries comes to mind, but I've never seen it applied to a shotgun aside from a buttstock cuff.

Good job Simon. The more options the merrier. In fact, your idea is now compatible with Tac vests that do have this pocket option and any patch of exposed velcro sewn on a vest, or anywhere else for that matter. There's usually lots velcro real estate sewn onto vests for patches and such.
The only disadvantage I see with this compatibility is that your 7 shell carrier won't fit 4-5 shell capacity pockets I've seen used on vests. You may want to consider various capacity sized shell holders for these vest applications.

Do we really need a 7 shell capacity stuck to the side of a receiver.
Getting on the heavy side and unbalanced. I would limit those to 6 and make some with 4 shell capacity. One could always buy two.

Easy, that was the idea ,to give people as many options to carry ammo on the shotgun as possable.
This is a cost affective idea that works fast.
The main reason i wanted to makes some was to keep ammo ready to go in the safe, so i made a few and found out i needed to make it stiffer and of better webbing.
Now i,m using them on my 3 gun gun, a benelli m2.

Great idea Simon, I like the idea of rip and stick reloading of the shell carrier. I think recoil would be worse for shaking shells loose than running, but if you say they work then I'll take your word for it.

They will be on the site some time tomorrow. Yes I may have had abit to drink last night and today I was at a Polar Swim. I'm just waiting for everything to drop back into place!

Will one shot tactical have them as well?

not sure yet.

??? Oh sure, I try and take some time off and a new product comes out.

I want it in the store tomorrow.

As Simon mentioned before these will fit into not only the Blue Force Gear DAP line (all velcro based) but also Maxpedition and others.

You can run a few of these inside your BFG DAP discreet case or a Maxpedition versa pack, then slap a new full shotshell holder on your shotgun and soon as you blow through the one on it.

Buy three or four. Then there is no need to refill your hard sidesaddle, just slap a full one on.

Did companies like VangComp have the same design already out?

I thought I saw these a good while ago. BBB's seem cheaper in cost I think. If I recall correctly one of the companies has an actual aluminum backing plate, ie a velcro loop pad attached to a traditional plate for a side carrier and hook shotshell holders.

Might also be effective in different coloured webbing for personal identification of specific types of loads(apart from people who have them loaded up/down, etc).

Vang has just what you said, a aluminum plate that locks in via the trigger pins on the rem 870 shotgun, much like the plastic and alum shell holders by Mesa tactical and tacstar.
Vang makes some great products but I and many others do not think that the product offers a good value for the price it costs.
Allso many people dont like the idea of not being about to strip the shogun trigger mech out without having to use tools.
This does not bother me but many people it does.
Our DSC will work with any shotgun, Vang only makes their product for 2 guns.
Our DSC is cost effective and will let you have ammo at the ready on guns that you dont normaly have that option for.
Three gun gear in the US has been making somthing like this for years as well as people making their own.
What we are trying to offer is a very well made simple and cost effective product on a production level.

We have plans to make some out of safety orange and well as yellow.
The yellow is mainly for myself to have ammo at the ready in the same for home protection.
My father is a climber and said that yellow is a great color for low light high stress,so i,m going to try that.

I have been waiting/looking forever/everywhere for an elastic shotshell holder.

I am doubly glad that my answer is going to be a Canadian solution as well.

Why do I want an elastic carrier?.

Weight savings. Plastic/metal shotshell carriers may not weigh much, but when you put two on a well balanced shotgun it feels different (even unloaded) Even loaded, an elastic carrier is lighter than a plastic one (and I love the simplicity)

Low profile. Plastic/metal shotshell carriers still stick out when you remove the shells. Could snag on something when you're manipulating the shotgun. Elastic carriers collapse as you remove the shells and will not snag on anything.

Cost. Sticking it on the side of the receiver may not be the most secure, but for the price of one plastic/metal shotshell carrier, you could potentially have two or three of these elastic carriers

Secure. Now seeing as I am going on third party experience because I haven't found any elastic ones for myself, I have read that they are much more consistent in holding the shells than plastic/metal ones. I'll be sure to post my reviews once I get them.

Personally, I can't wait to get some :)
