Why is the Sako A7 not popular?

you guys bicker back and forth like a bunch of old women!

WELCOME TO CGN! :welcome:

mine will shoot better then i can
it will shoot 1/2 inch groops at 300 yards no problem...with factory shells

YOU'RE GONNA FIT RIGHT IN HERE. YOU'RE SUB-MOA 300 YARD GROUPS ARE PRETTY AVERAGE...NOW, IMAGINE IF YOU PRACTICED MORE AND MAYBE TOOK UP HANDLOADING YOU COULD SHRINK THOSE GROOPS IN HALF!!! PLEASE BE SURE AND REPORT BACK HERE WHEN YOU DO.

we all know what we like and will stand behind it

I HAVE OWNED GUNS FROM PRETTY NEAR EVERY MANUFACTURER OUT THERE, IF I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ONE I WILL DISCLOSE THEM. SOMETIMES "BRAND LOYAL" FOLKS CAN'T CALL A SPADE A SPADE.

I recently picked up a new (barely used) A7 SS. I'm gonna try to get it out to the range this week, and I'll post up my findings.

They seem to be a high quality well made gun at a competative price range...perhaps they should give it more time to develop a following....Droping the price a bit would be a big step in selling more units and trying to develop some avid A7 fans

i have a a7 in 300wsm and it is an amazing rifle. i picked it up at a great price as a kit with scope/rings
mine will shoot better then i can

i am very impressed with how it performs and wouldnt trade it for anything.
f:P:f:P:

every one likes different things in a gun so there is no right or wrong
its no different then trucks...we all know what we like and we'll stand behind it

An A7 is a Tikka dressed in lipstick that still isn't quite as ###y as an 85.

How much of a market would there be in the middle?

Had my new A7 out this week. Bolt was smooth, trigger was nice, but most importantly you could fit my groupings under a toonie, and frankly I wasn't putting a whole lot of effort into it. I didn't have any issues with the magazine, as some have had. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase, and look forward to putting some meat in the freezer with it.

I got a very good deal on this rifle as a package, so I couldn't pass it up, but frankly I'm not sure that I would buy it brand new. I think there is a good chance that if I walked into a store and saw both, I'd walk out with a T3, simply based on price.

No not quite as ###y as an 85....but where can I buy a Short action Tikka T3 ?

True enough.

I just don't think there is enough of a market for it. Much the same as when the auto companies realized it is not profitable to build 10 trucks with different option packages, I think the same will hold true here.
