Entry Level Hunting Rifle

Not everyone is a Ziess groupie. Isn't your soap box getting a little worn out? To conclude for this poor man's sake of hearing you any more than he has to: Cooper Rifles with Zeiss scopes in .280ai are the best thing for termites to elephants and anything else l is mediocre at best.

Partial quote and retort from CGNs mos knowledgable genius in 3,2,1.....
Come on tell us how you really feel!

Some people aren't worth taking off of the ignore list, even for gross entertainment value. It gets remarkably boring when one's opinions are shallow enough that they can be summarized in a 5 second short. And when your "wisdom" is rarely shown public appreciation, even when you obviously try so hard, you think one would cease, but determination is often a fool's partner.
Oh, but if I could only find my medication so one could be found useful and witty again, then again maybe that bottle is best left unfound.
Shoo fly.

So if you have me on ignore, how did you see my response to your post? You better rethink that angle before responding again.LOL

I don't find the "take your medicine" lines funny at all; in fact, it is in poor taste to make light of mental illness.

Maybe the answer to the entry level gun question is simpler than one imagines. Take a new gun out of the equation and you can have your pick of excellent guns with decent scopes for around the $1,000 mark. Is that it? Is our work done here?

haha i think i will be buying new. I checked out a CZ550 in 30.06 today and liked it, seems well built and is decently heavy meaning less recoil. need to get my hands on a few more to see.

The 550 will probably be my next rifle purchase . I tried one in 308 last year, was very accurate using only factory ammo and I really like the set trigger while shooting at the range.

Great choice. They are very nice rifles that are unlikely to let you down. Are you looking at the model with the set trigger?

You must have failed reading comprehension. Read what you quoted again; that statement creates the context that I removed you from the ignore list and that even though your lack of imagination entertains me at times, it isn't worth it. Has Bill Engval ever offered you a sign?
I'll wait for your next predictable response before I put you back on the list.

Wholesale sports has the m70 sporter for $699 and supergrades for $979(.30-06 only), I just ordered a supergrade and can't wait until it arrives. I also got a VX3, 2.5-8x36 with a german # 4 crosshair for $600 shipped. If I would have got the sporter which I origionally ordered my budget would have been right at $1500 with the whole package shipped and it is a nice one. I think the sporter for $699 is hard to beat although I haven't heard anything bad about savage or ruger. My biuddy has a stainles ruger and it is an absolute tack driver in 270wcf
