2011 Ontario Archery Moose Hunt - Outfitter Suggestions

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for outfitters with archery tags in the Temagami/Nippising/Sudbury area. (Will go further north if required, but would like to stay south of Matachewan)

Anyone got any recommendations?

I could be reading these regs wrong, but it appears to me that while there is a bow season in those WMU, there are no actual BOW tags available, other than WMU 29 and 38.

So if an outfitter had a tag, it would be for the general season, allowing bow or rifle to be used, but would not be valid during the BOW ONLY season.

Don houston at horseshoe island usually has a bow tag for moose he's on lake mistinicon 5 minutes from matachewan. I used to work for him great guy

Outfitters that were getting a gun tag have an option to keep getting the gun tag, OR 3 archery season tags, regardless of their WMU.

New outfitters - No tags.

And if camps were not getting tags...won't be getting any in the future.

And no, I don't make much sense of it, but it IS the MNR we're talking about.

If you go a little further north, you can draw your own tags. I know guys that got cow tags, as individuals, in pool 2. Would be easy to get 2 or 3 tags if you had 5 or 6 guys. WMU 19, 21A, 23 look promising.

it is a lot easyer to get tags for bow hunting a littel farther north we got three tags for 5 guys two years ago DUTCH
