RFB initial thoughts, Range report ***JANUARY 31st ammo test at bottom of OP***

Ohhhhh Baby it showed up on my doorstep about half an hour ago. You are right about the trigger alot better than the tavor. It is a little heavy but definitely crisp, better than your standard AR trigger. The rifle defintely feels substantial. After a range session tomorrow I might have a new favorite rifle and people might see my bolt gun on the EE cause the RFB will be doing my hunting from here on out.

He got a polite responce from you, i'm glad I left Poco for Mission too. Too bad, because they're are some good guys at Poco.
Nice rifle too, Fireball.
No wonder why I don't see ya up there no more.
I too am starting to look for a new range because I hate waiting over an hour for a bench and not being able to shoot any were else with my rifle on this range.

It had better not have been mine. I did not want anyones mitts on it before mine plus it was supposed to be shipped out this morning. Really it should have been shipped out on the 31st but screwed up putting my credit card number into their machine and I didn't get back to them before 3pm that day.

Word on the street was your rifle was rented out by the hour. They referred to your rifle as trixie. No shooting but everything else was fair game. I mean everything. Sorry couldn't resist.

Glad to hear your rifle arrived. Couple weeks still for mine.

You will love it, the couple weeks will fly by. It definitely is THE dream rifle. I worked nightshift last night only to get 2.5 hours sleep and the post man rang the door bell. I feel more alert on 2.5 hours sleep then I did on 8 hours last night.

Mrsmitty- it might run a little rough on break in, but gets better quick. This is my new hunting rig too, time to retire the m14 for the range.

I'm there also...jamming everyone onto range 7 (unless you have RUC) is ridiculous...I think it's time to take a drive to Mission...

Oh well I've waited three years what's another couple of weeks?

Fireball was in with our group order. We let him get the first one because we felt sorry for him. Empathy really. At least that's how I recall the story. :p

If one of you kind souls shoots at Mission, i'd love to try this beast out. Might even buy one if I like it. :)

Welcome to my world. 1 to 2 hour wait at Poco or 45 minute drive to Mission and I live 5 minutes from the Poco range.

I recall the same thing happening to my AR-10 at your house until my wife rescued it. :D

I don't mind bring as much ammo as you want. The more that goes through the faster it breaks in. I wanted to hit Mission Thursday or Friday but it looks like its going to have to be Saturday.

I've always wondered what it felt like to get thrown under the on-line bus. Thanks Epoxy7, now I know!

For #### sakes.... You guys are seriously making me consider putting my plans for a couple of new guns (I was thinking an AR15, SR22, and a bolt-action .223) on the back burner so I can divert funds to getting one of these. Thanks a million... #######s. :p

Well after reading this thread, and doing a bunch of research online, I put down a deposit for one. Am told it will be approximately 3 months before I get one. I'm not disappointed in the wait as now I have time to save money for this dubious financial decision. I have been looking at various black rifles for a while, there was nothing that was screaming 'buy me!' But after seeing the RFB, especially the fact it is in .308 and isnt restricted, well that was the final straw... sounds like it wont be rare to see around, though, as the wait lists seem to just be getting longer.

Too kind. I'll have to set up something in the future, this weekend isn't going to work for me.
PM you later about it though.
Thanks.

Not to redirect, but that's how I felt. Tons of lost trigger time. The 45 min target changes, loaded guns being pointed where they AINT supposed to be. (no fault on the range officers there, great folks.)
The biggest, and last straw for me was the no rifle allowed to be shot on the lower ranges.
No rifle to be shot on the lower ranges? Is this not a range, are we not all shooters here?
Regardless of certs, BB (black badge, holster cert, RUC, ect..)

So I said, screw it - i'll go somewhere run by shooters - Mission rod and gun.
