AR15 : Place to shoot near Ottawa?

I will certainly be getting myself a membership there, I have one at EOHC. What is the cost of Connaught

$100 first year, $200 per year after that. covers pistol & rifle ranges (shotgun is $25 extra)

if you're under 25 years old, there's some extra perk - i think the shotgun stuff is free (otherwise it's an extra $25).

let me know when you're ready to join and i'll get you in touch with the membership guy.

range times aren't as "whenever" as EOHC, but it's central, enough variety, and lots of good mature (non-redneck) people shoot there. right now we shoot saturdays (sorta, more like whenever someone decides to actually run the range - need an RSO to do that, i'm one), sundays i think (gotta be holster qual'd), and come spring-time i run a friday evening session while another guy also runs a wednesday evening session.

btw, once you're a member, you'd need to cancel your ATT from EOHC and get NCRRA/Connaught to issue you one (basically, move your ATT over to our club)

i've got membership at Connaught since a year ago, and got EOHC this past fall, so we'll be in pretty well the same boat :p AND i'm looking into buying an AR-15 as well.

oh ya, one more detail - NCRRA/Connaught typically has a 3-month / 90-day "waiting" period before they'll get you an ATT, to make sure you're a sensible lad/lass. that makes getting a membership around now a good plan cuz by the time spring is here, you'll be at 90 days and can get the infamous ATT. obviously you'd have to come out a number of times to actually shoot - either your own non-restricted or mooch off someone else (maybe supply your own ammo)

Thank you very much for the info. I will certainly be in touch with you about the membership as soon as I have time to go out and do it... Sooner than later for sure.
