I love my Colt, but havn't tried any other 10mm out there. Out of all my pistols (12) it's the most accurate I own. I never get tired of it, but have a hard time finding ammo in my neck of the woods. I gotta get into reloading!!!

I need you guys to do a simple test with for me...

Colt has always named their revolvers and several are named after snakes well as the story goes the 1911 was known as the rattler because when you hold the gun by the grip and shook it it rattled like crazy.

Here is the test the new improved 1911's DW/Kimber are not supposed to rattle at all so everyone grab your 1911's and shake away and post your results...

I wouldn't take slide-to-frame fit too seriously as a measure of quality; it has little impact on accuracy. The fit of the barrel and bushing to the slide is far more important. Excessively tight slide-to-frame fitting will compromise reliability.

If it looks like any of the other STI guns i would not even consider it. I dont need some fancy schmancy mag well, ect...

If i wanted a brick i would buy a glock 20.

Have you tried a SF model G20? All the brass I sold you has been run through one of my Glock 20s. To answer your question the Dan Wesson Cbob is a slick unit. STI Perfect 10 is top of the line but if you want classic lines I suppose a Colt Delta would be best. I wouldn't push it too hard though. Despite being a strengthened 1911 it is not designed around 10mm like the SW 10XX models or the Glock 20. Both are my top picks for 10mm. I am eager to try the new Bren Ten though, especially since you are taking your original to the grave:D.

If I could only have one of the 3 10mm semi's I own now it would be the 4.25" barreled Glock 29 it is so compact but I can use G20 mags with Pierce mag sleeves for a G20SF grip if I want a full grip.

Glocks are so slick how they dismantle just check that it is empty, dry fire, pull the slide back a fraction, depress the take down levers remove the slide all that is left is remove the recoil sprng and barrel.

I can then install my 40S&W barrel and lighter recoil spring assembly then I just reassemble load my mags and I am good to go.

Glocks are impervious to weather, if we could CCW here the G29 is a fantastic compact CCW firearm only thing is it is not as comfortable to grip as my 1911 but with all of the added benifites/advantages it has I'd take it everytime...

What is the best 10mm 1911?

My answer would have to be a Wilson Combat Supergrade 10mm, built to my specs, next would have to be an Ed brown (When they used to make calibers other than 45 A.C.P.)
