I just bought a ruger sr22 and I don't know where to start when choosing a scope. Can someone provide me with some insight or some models I should be looking at? I also want a bipod but don't know what is best.

Thank you in advance.

For a scope I put the Tasco red dot you can buy at crappy tire or wally world on mine. Works pretty good, but is way too low and is hard to get your eye ball behind it with that flat top on the SR. Whatever scope you end up with, make sure you have a way to mount it up high.

For a bipod, I run the rock river one 6-9" which i bought at a gun show for 45$ a couple years ago. I bought 2 of them and never had any problems, fits the SR no problem as well.

I'm thinking about a Bushnell TRS 25 for my SR..

Rise it with one of these:

im using (everybody get ready to laugh) a Tasco 5 MOA Red Dot from Canadian Tire - its worth $49.99 and works great, u can see the dot in the brightest of conditions and they dont break the bank, i even used it hunting bush chickens last fall and worked well soaking wet in the bush. The one drawback i found was the dot is large and can totally cover your target but its a good way to know your on target too.....lol

Good choice on the SR i love mine, and now you get to giggle at all the others whinning about their Remington 597s and all the greif they get from the mag.
