So I have decided to take the plunge and build my own Ar 15 for .223, So far the lower seems to be coming together nicely but I am at a loss for finding the kind of barrel I would like. So far I have not been able to find a 20" A2 barrel assembly and this is is quite maddening. Browsing through some of the links above I have noticed Arms East has a 16" barrel assembly and the 20" barrel from Questar International but I was hoping some of you guys might be able to help me in my search for a affordable 20" A2 barrel assembly. Any advise will be helpful. Thanks
 
It's true with us, we don't have the barrel only, but we do have upper halves on the 20" Govt Profile, 1/7 MP, current M16 barrel, F/A bolt group, if that becomes useful to you.
 
I'm quite interested in the upper. I was wondering if it is the A3 style upper with the flat rail instead of the carry handle? If so I will have to pick up one up.

Yes. Current M16 spec. We can do it without the detachable carry handle, leaves the flat picatinny rail.
