Can you guys recommend a quality Instructional Book?

Just need a instructional manual on how to get started, equipment needed and all that good stuff, any suggestions?

ABCs of Reloading comes highly recommended. After that, you're looking at reloading manuals or other reloading books (the NRA in the US has some nice manuals done up, but are hard to find up here - the NRA Guide to Reloading is very useful). Also depends a lot on if you are looking at shotshell, pistol and/or rifle.

Lyman 49th Manual, or Lee Modern Reloading. Tells you how and what, and also has lots of data for when you're ready to load.

with just those three books as your guide, you can reload with absolute confidence that the finished product will be as perfect as it can be. If I could have no other references than those, I would be just as happy.

In the end you will be well served to just buy a Lee Challenger Kit, and a deluxe 3 die set. That is all you really need to get started and I believe the Kit includes a book.

The Lyman manual has a wide variety of useful load data and a pretty good description of the loading process.

Lyman 49 is probably one of the best on the market as is the ABCs of Reloading.

The LEE book however is, in my opinion, garbage. The senile ramblings of a bitter old man - Richard Lee - outweigh any benefits the book has.

"...equipment needed..." Have a look at what comes with the RCBS Beginner's Kit. Comes with everything you need to start less dies and shell holder.
"...LEE book however is..." Not their tested data either. Comes from other sources. Usually verbatim from the powder maker's site.

If I had to pick one manual I would go for the Lyman 49th too, all the info you need for learning to reload and a wide range of bullets in the data.

I bought Lyman's first and I think it was great, but now I'm reading Hornady's and it goes way further in explaining how Seating depth, case triming, neck vs fl sizing and much other factors influence accuracy and such, with great pictures. So I like it more than Lyman's for that.
