What do you guys think?

Well without seeing the internals it's hard to tell. At first blush it looks like a larger take off of the LeVang. Compensating/braking effect of this would be minimal unless there is something special I can't see. Hard to tell if it's designed to increase dwell time.

Looks nice, good to see new products on the market.

gun does look nice. anyone know who makes that lower? whats up with the "G-MAG"?

It's a Hera-Arms upper/lower. Not sure about the G-Mag; "G" for German perhaps?

How did they make the moe hand guard stay in place without a front sight? I don't see any gas block! It looks amazing.

I was curious about this as well. Hera is also apparently coming out with a new low profile gas block. Will let you know if I find anything out.

It's Hera Arms' lower.

That looks really badical. I might be tempted to build one of these. Their HLS looks to be ambi, too.

Who sells Hera Arms uppers and lowers?

^^^^^^^^^^^
Thanks for posting.
It appears both would need special contoured lowers.
Well, I will give it a try on a regular forging, to see how it goes.

Sorry for hi-jacking.

I like what they did with the magwell on there very useful in many applications when shooting....

What the compensator going for in price?

Interesting. I'd like to see beefier guards around the bolt release. The Herra arms one sticks way out but I would be concerned about mixing up the mag and bolt release in competition, under stress, etc. Inadvertently dropping the bolt when you meant to drop the mag would make for a much slower reload.

Military optics seem to be at a point where they'll survive pretty much anything a gun will survive.

Of course, none of this matters in the civilian world. When I get the funds to build a shorty AR, I probably won't include any irons.

it is pretty hard to push the bolt release on an empty mag compared to the mag release. i don't think that would be an issue.

if the mag isn't empty, then pressing the button does nothing anyways.
