so, i keep hearing about these REALLY GREAT swap out Volquartsen trigger parts for a Rem 597. what are the parts needed (trigger, hammer, both?), who sells them (eastern ontario)? is this something i can pick up through LeBaron or Marstar / Epps / etc?

w ww.rimfiresports.com buy the hammer and extractor both for $56, shipping to Canada is free. Enjoy trouble free operation.

sweet, thanks! that's pretty cheap and free S&H is a bonus.

one more question - are they able to ship 10rd 597 magazines to us or not? i didn't see it in their FAQ and there's no note with the mag itself. $15 per mag isn't bad and i could use a bunch.

IIRC LeBaron is cheaper for mags right now.

I ordered mags from them too and they arrived no problem.

As for instructions, search on youtube for both hammer and extractor videos - there are a few out there.

On a side note, i took apart the handguard assembly with the little rubber o ring in the middle. Holy sh&t what a crap design. Could not put it back after taking it off lol

which assembly??? i've got the TVP version with the skeletonized laminated stock. same parts inside i should be careful with?
