I woke up this morning and decided to go sit on the bait pile me and a few buddies have been running. I was a little late getting out there but decided to check it out anyways. I peek over the ridge and see nothing feeding down below. Not wanting to waste a trip out I begin a series of real quiet cottontail in distress with my mouth call. No more than 30 seconds later I see one coyote at first crossing a large pond heading right towards me. He is closing ground fast and then I see 4 more appear and join in the chase. One well placed shot at 250 yards breaks all hell loose. I have coyotes running in every direction trying to escape. I take a shot at a running one heading left to right and was just a hair behind, I rack the bolt and the second 80 Grain Nosler Ballistic tip sends him into the spins. Having put only 3 shots in my rifle at the start there I am digging in my pocket for a another shell for a 6th coyote I just noticed trying to make his escape. 4 shots bagging 3 dogs made for a good morning and sure eased some pressure off the local deer population. From start to finish my hunt was 5 min long and I achieved my first double and triple all in the same day.

Thanks for the comments, If I had a semi I think I would have had at least 5 of the 6. A morning like this will be hard to beat but will be hitting that area next week again. It has a very healthy population.

Not a 'yote hunter myself, but that's some nice shootinig. I've noticed a large number of coyotes in Southern Ontario the last couple years so I'm sure the deer herds appreciate your efforts.

So what do you do with the coyotes now? Just curious, not trying to be funny. Do you stuff them or eat them?

I think it's obviously totally NOT worthwhile to try to stuff OR eate a coyote. If you're into it, you could skin and tan the hides yourself ro give em to someone who will :)

Let's not start another goofy thread about eating coyotes, but what's wrong with coyote taxidermy? A lifesize mount, or just a tanned skin hanging on the wall can look great if done well.
