Does anyone out there have actual experience with the new AR-like Mossy's? I'm kind of thinking of getting one just for gits and shiggles, but I'd like to hear from some owners as to how they really are.

I have one. I only managed about 1000rds down the barrel without 1 prob. Took it apart to clean it and broke the bolt recoil spring.

I'll have it all fixed tomorrow.

I love the gun, very accurate, light weight, looks cool, and is a good bushgun....

I took a look at one in the store. From a distance it looks great. When you hold it you want to drop it and go have a shower to get the 'cheap' off of you.

I'm actually surprised that a lot of people feel the same way you do. That the gun is super cheap. I understand that it is made of plastic, but it's soo light to carry. I find this an awesome advantage over an sr22 or vtr. I would sooner lug the mossy in the woods all day over the ruger or rem.

But again it comes down to personal preference.

I have one, nice cheap rifle, had 10-15 jams out of about 1500 rounds to date.
Ammo is dirt cheap at $19.95 for 555 winchester, shoots ok (1/2 inch groups at 50m)

I like ours. 300 rounds of bulk ammo and only two jams. The casing didn't eject fast enough or straight enough to get out of the slide's way, so it got caught hanging half out. Easy to clear and back to shooting!

Just holding my breath for the 25 rd mags!
