Have you fired through the fake suppressor yet? I always wondered if it was safe to fire through an empty can if there was no barrel extension inside, if the rifle would shift slightly as fired and the bullet would ricochet inside the can.

FYI: it would be illegal to fire through a empty can. Even if there is no suppression involved it is considered 'altering the report' of a firearm rendering it a prohibited weapon.

No issue with pics though, the fake cans just cannot be fired through unless it qualifies as a barrel shroud and the muzzle comes out at the end or the shroud.

Incidentally, awesome work. Well done. I'm just getting into the red stuff myself. It was actually the pic of your Tok that motivated me.

Cheers

How do you explain bloop tubes, then? Or have target shooters been breaking the law for decades? Not that that would surprise me with our idiotic laws.

or the new GSG tactical that comes with a can from the factory

That'd be 'fake' can... it is legal if they are solid tubes that look like a can (i.e. Bloop tubes that I believe add wieght to the end of the barrel decreasing muzzle rise... unless I'm wrong on that one). Even the Noveske pigs were given a serious review because technically they are a one baffle suppressor. I don't make the laws amigo... just reporting on them.;)

A bloop tube is a tube that is slid over the barrel and the front sight mounted on it to extend the sight radius beyond that allowed by the barrel length alone and/or to alter the tune of the barrel harmonics. It is typically a fairly thin walled tube that just slides over the barrel OD. It is definitely not intended as a suppressor, but they do alter the sound of the gun quite a bit.
