like all such brakes, it makes the gun a little front heavy.
however it helps with sideblast from my buddies on the firing line from my sbr, it also helps with back pressure on my sbr for more reliable operation
Wierd cuz I just baught 1 of them last month and they never mentioned anything to me.The Dlask XB-1 is a discontinued muzzle device that is a copy of the Noveske KX3.

I don't think its on the website anymore. Their copy of the Smith Vortex seems to be gone as well (which I also have).
Maybe if you call them you can still get it?
I did phone Dlask and asked them about it. They'll be available again in couple of weeks.
what is this XB-1? Couldn't find anything on the net or even on Dlask's homepage
I totally missed this thread.
Here's a pic of the XB-1 on my 7.5"Dlask CQB. As others have mentioned, it's designed to throw the noise down range rather than sideways. Which is greatly appreciated by the guy next to you on the bench.
IMO, the weight of the XB-1 actually helps balance my AR better. I think if mounted on a long barrel, it would make the rifle feel front heavy.
IIRC, the design also helps SB AR's to cycle the next round....
