tacticool SR-22 photos wanted

Right, I forgot that from an earlier post that you made! Brainfart!!

Is there a way that we can find something to fit a 25er in that looks ARish?

~M

I thought about and was going to try it but it would have to be completely custom made. The banana mags are just too wide and too curved to fit into a regular AR mag

I tried, tore apart an airsoft AR mag... was going for something that would ultimately look a little closer to an AK-47, given the angle of the banana mag. Couldn't make it work, the Butler creek was too wide.
Anyone ever tried chopping the sides off?

I looked at that but one side has the spring so you can only do the other side. Then the magazine would have to be offset and it still most likely wouldnt fit. I think there is a better chance trying to convert a .22 M4 magazine or S&W .22 mag but you would have to cut both in half and plastic weld or epoxy it to the top portion of the banana magazine.

are high or raised optics the only options for sr22... or is it because of the sights?

The SR22 doesn't come with iron sights. It is supposed to mimic an AR and on a real AR, most optics are 2" or more above the bore. You can drop a scope low but the front bell may contact the hand guard rail if you got one installed. On my SR, I had a 3-9x40 and it wouldn't fit unless I took of the top HG rail. So high rings on a scope are a must. As for Red dots, height won't matter but your neck may start to dislike you from having to crank it over. :D

THX JT as I have no AR experience and I haven't had the chance or option to even hold one of these in person (YET). I really wasn't sure why all these optics were so high, thx for clearing it up! Sadly the hunter in me wants to scope it, even more so when you consider the prices of some of the other options.>EO TECH

I put a scope on my VTR and had to use high Rings , I beleive high rings would be fine for a scope on the SR22 , probley look good to ;)
