Well balanced, breaks down with one screw. Mags are metal (mine worked reliably) One weakness is the single asymmetrical return spring and plastic breech plug that the spring guide rod seats in. Mine cracked in short order and spares were not to be had. Repaired it and carried on.
Rifle functioned with everything I used in it (various HV .22). Trigger was acceptable for a .22 semi auto sporting gun. Sights are metal, scope rail was useful. Synthetic stock is fully adustable (big plus)
They're priced a little on the high side IMHO for a Baikal product but with the exception mentioned a good .22
