Have a chance to buy a like new air rifle it is a .22 cal and he says it is a XS-B28 at 1000 fps . That model number means nothing to me, Price is $160.00.
I have a rws 34 now in 177 and have been looking for a high speed .22 to try. Should I pull the trigger and buy this one, who makes this model and what are they like??

This model is a clone of the Diana 350 Magnum.

I have another variation called "Canadian Hunter". They are made at the same factories in China and then branded by the importer. Reasonable quality and you might want to chrony it to see how close to 1000fps it really is. (also depends on pellet) They are also pretty easy to get replacement seals and springs for. It's just the sear and trigger you will be on your own with and you might want to spend some time tuning them. They tend to be a little rough.

For the price not bad but usually the Canadian <500fps rifles sell under $100 and the one you are looking at usually goes for around $200.
 
Call James Macarri " the springman" and get a new seal ,top hat and mainspring.The Chinese guns need a thorough tuning and polishing of the internals.They come with bent springs and damaged seals right from the factory.After that they are fine.Try The Canadian Airgun Forum for more advice..............Harold..........850-900fps more likely

My son's 34 in .22 drops crows one shot? Same as my HW 80K/.22.........Harold JSB predators or jumbo
 
I got my nephews Canadian Hunter tuned up with just a deburing of all internal metal parts, changed trigger springs(breaks like target gun!! scary) and relubed everthing, chrony it at 765FPS!!! great for squirells and crows at anything under 20 yards! cheers Dale Z!

It's a Chinese clone of the Diana 350 Magnum. It may be a little rough inside but with a little TLC it can be a good springer. It does have the power to be a good hunting pellet rifle, actual fps is in the mid 800's to 900fps for the 22 cal. New ones can go for $200 +tax +shipping so $160 can be a good price depending on condition. Good luck

I have a B28 in .22 cal and I love it. I love the iron sights on it, so I'm shooting it as is.

It shoots the JSB Exact 15.9 gr pellets very well. As was said before, this is a direct clone of the RWS 350 magnum. I find the adjustable 2 stage trigger to be very crisp and predictable. For the price you mentioned, I would grab it without any hesitation.
 
I have a b-28 in .25cal and love it. Takes a couple of tins of pellets to break it in,but after that its a sweet shooter.I use it for some low noise bunny hunting out back of the house. Try some H/N field trophy pellets,I use 20gr H and N .I have numerous 50 yrd plus kills with this rifle.
 
I tuned a CZ630 in .177 to around 600fps and it relaxes crows and grouse one shot even body hits.Mind you I spine them or through both wing buts................Harold

The .22 cal version actually has more FPE than the .25 cal.
