they keep trying to have them in Yellowknife and Hay River but so far i don't think they have been successful (they use to in the 90's.) PG is probably going to be the closest but i do know that a fellow from the Yukon recently took a BB course so maybe in the future.
you will enjoy shooting outdoors in the summer. when i was in Hay River on the "are you ready" command we would unzip the hood on the bug jacket and push it back. As soon as the gun was holstered it was zipped back up.
i know in the Yukon who frequent travel into alaska for pistol matches. i dont knwo if that is because there is not as many matches in northern bc/yukon or not

Do they shoot IPSC?
I can't speak for Yukon, NWT and Nunavut but in Nunavik they don't. It should remain like that, my own opinion.

I'm not saying that it technically can't be done. Just that it should not be done, well at least for the next 60 years. They have tons of social problems. Firearms are strictly controlled by the police up there, most of them have to sign out and sign in their firearms at the police station (not in every village though). I probably sound like a gun-control freak but believe me, I am not. They are not ready yet to be allowed to have handguns and firearms in general. What I am saying might sound strange, but you have to spend 4 months there to understand. Why not?
Their summer shooting season may be short but they might have, or be able to build, some indoor ranges.

They called themselves Eskimo not that long ago.
