So a Tavor makes you think you are Israeli SF, a Swiss Arms a mountaintop soldier? No. Having a rifle doesn't make you a poser. I bet it will help him win matches, or stand a good chance.

BTW, you drive out the pins underneath the sight block. It's sometimes harder than it sounds though.

FWIW, IMHO being a ranger gives you more "street cred" to own an AR15 C7 clone than 95% of the AR owners on this forum ;) (the other 5% are in the CF) Food for thought.

Yeah but he chose what he wanted. Don't crap on him for that. One of the great things about AR's is that you can configure them just about anyway you want. Better or worse is a matter of opinion.

So like your mother said, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Relax a bit.... Do I have to say its kick ass even tho I think its not? Its like posting your pic on HOT or NOT and you get alot of NOTS... :)

I like it overall. As I had already mentioned I had planned on doing the exact same Build...It can be fun to pretend....And all the "dress up " parts do nothing to diminish reliability or the functioning of the weqapon...they are for appearance. Not any different then someone who spends $$ on fancy walnut for their hunting rig.

If anyone needs a Bayonet for their "dress up rig " I have one in the EE....just so you can play army too

Whats the point? Unless you just want to pretend to be a army man :)

There are much better parts options out there than you chose.

this C7 clone looks sweet.. way better then some AR fanboy mall ninja tactocool crap like you probably our military dosent use this setup for no reason is very battle proven, heres something you might like lol

Question:

Regarding the fixed backup sight; I realize space rear of the elcan is zero, in the event the optic is tossed, is the BUS used that far forward (or would it be moved rearward?)

I've never tried looking through a rear aperture that far ahead, but I imagine it must be a tiny little hole.

That is exactly what I was thinking.
Nice rifle btw.w:h:

It's actually not as far as it might look. You can creep up and close with that telescoping stock. I wouldn't move the site rearwards if I had to toss the elcan. There are two aperatures (like on a lee enfield). The battle sight is nice and big for low light conditions.
