WARNING if you just received your Pal Licence
If you don't by anything after 1 week ,your licence gets revoked because apparently you don't need it !! Just a warning .

Thanks for coming out. That is the biggest load of crap, why would you come on here and post such stuff?

Something like this happened to a relative of mine. Got his POL when this stuff first came out, and thought he registered everything. Turns out nothing was registered. His POL expired and now they wont renew it because he "doesnt have any firearms" and therefore doesnt need one.

If find this to be a load of horsesh!t, since a POL could be used to borrow firearms legally and he still has time to register.

A buddy of mine lost his RPAL when he renewed, because he didn't have any restricteds registered. The woman told him he didn't need it, so he would only be issued a PAL.
WTF? You have to pay extra to get your RPAL. Why should it ever be refused to be renewed just because you don't currently own a restricted?

They just want to make it a big hassle any way they can to make it not worth your time.

don't you need your RPAL first before you buy restricted(s)?

I have "heard" of losing your RPAL if you go to renew without having purchased any restricted firearms. I have also "heard" of losing your ATT if you go to renew and have not "used" it to go to the range WTF?! This loss of a PAL sounds like straight up BS though. Perhaps the OP is a dealer who's business is suffering lol!

Wow, anyone think that the guys being funny and trying to get the new folks to loosen the purse strings and buy some new stuff....

He had his RPAL, and restricteds. When he renewed, he didn't have them anymore. That's no reason for you to lose that status though. You paid for that RPAL. You will now have to pay again, and take the test to get it again.
That's CRAP!

How would they know?

Are firearm owners now asked if they used their ATT when renewing? (I'm guessing you mean LTATT)

I thought that if an individual is a member of an approved range and the CFO knows this from granting/renewing LTATT's for the same individual in the past, then the LTATT renewal will go through. Am I wrong? Has something changed?

What happens if someone hasn't been to the range? Does the CFO demand that you apply for collector status if you have not been shooting your restricted(s)?
