Long John 10/22

[Wham-O]

Just finished a build using a 20" SS taper/fluted GM barrel.
The OAL of the rifle is a wopping 42" but surprising enough, it's very well balanced, feels solid and not too heavy!
It should be interesting to see how it carries....and how it shoots?!

The build consists of:
Ruger Birch Stock
20" SS Tapered & Fluted Barrel
Ruger OEM Polished, Jeweled and Radiused Bolt w/ Sharp Claw Extractor
Tactical Innovations Super Charging Handle
Tuffer Buffer Bolt Buffer
UTG Picatinny Scope Rail
Weaver Rings
Mueller APV 4.5-14X40 AO Scope w/ Sun Shade
Jard (1-1/2 lb) Trigger Group
SS Take Down Hex Cap Screw

Some of the 10/22 look like toys, this has got a real classic gun look to it.

Edit: forgot to add I really like it, hope it shoots as good as it looks! NICE BUILD...

Hey Clobb! Didn't bed the TG but used bedding pads on the barrel. I'm sure I'll have to tweek it yet.
I used OEM V-Block but we'll have to see after I test it if adjustments are needed.

Looks very nice Wham-O. Makes me want to consider a build like yours. Have most of the parts already, only thing missing are a bul stock & a triger group. Would like to see what kind of groupings your getting from this beautifull 10/22 you built.

about the same as it treated you. haven't put a round through it yet. day-to-day life keeps getting in the way, and after that, it's the weather that's not cooperating.

she'll get a workout this spring though.

Went to alberta to work, and they keep sending me to jobs in BC!
No internet at the apt for my days off, and the hotels/camps I'm staying at don't seem to have 100% reliable internet - so my cgn time has taken a beaten.
But the money is good.

The Cooper should be at Clays tomorrow and the VQ was having a little customs trouble (threaded barrel) but should clear, not sure when though.
