And please tell me where in the OP's post he refers to himself as a dealer of any kind? He specifically refers to them as his prize possessions or whatever, so clearly this is not the case!

Express and Priority are guaranteed delivery or you are money back
It is in the fine prints you mention:
Xpresspost includes an On-time Service Guarantee. Canada Post offers replacement service or credit of the shipping charges (transportation charges), if the sender’s shipment is not delivered on time, as measured against the published delivery service standards for Xpresspost, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions. See General Terms and Conditions at canadapost.ca/generalterms for more information. Customers can also call Customer Service at 1.888.550.6333.

Exactly, hence the reason why I'm getting my money back. I paid for "Xpresspost", and it is already a day late, and I'm getting a bad feeling that it won't show up today either.

BTW, CP is experiencing problems with their tracking system. I was told that all tracking updates come at the end, when the parcel is delivered -- alot of good that does anybody.

There is some confusion here. "Expedited" and "Xpresspost" are two different levels of service.

"Expedited parcel" is ground transport. It is like regular parcel, with a very small discount (lucky to save a $1 over regular parcel) and $100 free insurance. Only Venture One cardholders can get Expedited parcel.

Xpresspost is air transport.

Canada Post policy says ground transport only for firearms. It is not against Canada Post policy to ship a firearm by "Expedited" service. If you shipped "Expedited Parcel" you probably don't get any refund for late delivery. You are entitled to a refund if your Xpress post pkg arrives late.

Canada Post tracking number is NOT real time. You did specify signature on delivery so you should be OK. Good luck.

Kurgan, it sounds like you are entitled to a refund. I would chalk it up to bad weather, I live several hours west of Edmonton and its -30 and we've had good amounts of snow on the roads.

The Shipping is worth more than both the SKS's at Wholesale! :p

Get a Refund, buy two more! lol
 
lets see...laminate SKS - anywhere from $200 to over $400 depending on condition and refurb/non refurb (Kurgan says theyre his prized SKS's and they are both excellent shooters)
Hardwood SKS - anywhere from $169 to $230 depending where you buy it
$99.07 divided by 2 =$49.53...:eek: wholesale is selling high quality laminate SKS's for 50 bucks!
 
Yeah, you can get them cheap, no doubt about it... however, I have seen and handled so many, I can tell you there's a huge variance in condition, fitment, and how many original parts there are. I went through quite a few, until I found a couple of exceptional shooters that were all-matching and looked good.
 
heh Ive got a meter of snow in my backyard, my dog almost dissapears in it :) the roads are nasty out our way, but the worst of it is over for now. shipping is gonna be slow for a while
 
Yeah, I'm just happy they arrived. If they were just run-of-the-mill SKS's (of course one man's junk is another man's treasure) I wouldn't have cared as much. I can't wait to get them back!
