Hi, I will start to load 9mm for my Glock 17 gen.4 and I want to use my remaining blue dot powder..I have AIM projectiles, AP 9mm-124 RN (hard cast copper plated bullets) what would be the minimum and maximum load for this powder...I did my research and some says 8 gr min. and some says 7.9 gr. max.???? I am so confused..

thanks guys, I think will load 7 gr. for now..as soon as I figure out my lee scale grrr.

Okay I did load it with 7 gr of blue dot, because if I load more not much space to seat the bullets..with 7 gr. it is fill up to the bottom of the bullet, is this safe for my Glock 17 and my hands and face?

It would seem to be safe since it is from the Speer manual, but ultimately the responsiiblity to determine if it is safe or not depends on the person who is loading it. Ask the guy in your mirror. ;)

Safest would be 6.2 say 30rnds and see what you think. You can always work up. I know when it comes to 9mm data and bluedot the info ranges from6.1 up to 8.2. Personally i shoot 6.6gr bluedot with a 125gr lrn. Well above required minimum pf for 9 mm.
Note: my lyman book states at 7.1gr you are now starting to load compressed loads, i have loaded past this but found that the powder was not burning up and i would find bluedot powder throughout my pistol when stripped to clean.

thank you guys for the great advices, I only did 100 pcs. with 7gr and it is really scary because almost fill to the top..I think I will play it safe I will just buy another powder just for my 9mm and use the blue dot just for my 38/357..I am thinking of buying tite group for my 9mm, any one with better powder suggestion and recipe for 9 mm is much appreciated..thanks!

Plated bullets use cast bullet data. They are not jacketed. The data on Alliant's site is max loads for jacketed bullets. There might be cast data in their manual though.
There is some Blue Dot data on Reloader's Nest, but not for a 124 grain cast/plated bullet.
The 125 LCN Titegroup data on Hodgdon's site will do nicely for a 124. One grain of weight won't matter.

Titegroup & 231 are working well in 9mm

If you want to load as cheap as possible switch to a different powder. Bluedot uses alot of powder to do the same thing as others.

Bullseye is probably the cheapest but I like Powerpistol.

It doesn't take max loads to be accurate and function well either! I usually start really low and work up till the rounds function 100% then start playing with accuracy.

EDIT:
Just realized you are the guy that just PM'd me about this. LOL
