Hi everyone!!

I've decided to import some custom actions for the fine folks at CGN. For a limited time I will be offering CGN special pricing on preorders. The actions will be a fantastic alternative to blue printing a 700 and make more sense economically.

PM me for details.

Designed to provide benchrest accuracy, the 1.350"-diameter Pierce Action has a drop-in compatibility with stocks inletted for the Remington 700. Tactical bolt handles are available. Designed for the hunting, tactical, and varmint markets, the Pierce action starts with a base price of $885. Pierce actions are made from 4140 chrome-moly steel (This same steel is also used for crankshafts and connecting rods in professional race engines.) and comes standard with Cerakote finish. All Pierce actions feature the Pierce enhanced Firing-Pin Assembly (FPA). With a faster lock time (2.3 milliseconds) and lighter strike (4.3 in/lbs), the Pierce FPA delivers easier bolt lift and reduced disruption when the pin hits the primer. Independent testing (Precision Shooting, 12/05) concluded a Pierce FPA can even shrink group size. The Pierce action was reviewed very favorably in the April '07 edition of Precision Shooting. A Pierce recoil lug is also included in every Pierce action purchase.

I don't know much about these actions.

If I were to get a repeater, I would just use the remington bottom metal follower etc. and these would feed say a 308 just fine? Is a trigger included and are the triggers interchangeable with a 700?

These are built "true" (or very close to it) as in the reciver face, threads, lug abutmnts and bolt lugs and face are all square to the bolt raceway?

I may or may not be interested.

Is a trigger included NO (but I can get one if you want)

I've discussed this with John. Part of the reason he got into building his own was to do away with the need for a blue printed action, his are produced with much more tighter tolerances then a factory 700.

Cheers

AICS only or both AICS and AW mags, there's a difference.

Quoted from his website:

The Pierce detachable magazine bottom is designed to use the Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) magazines. Include a Pierce detachable magazine bottom metal to your hunting or tactical rifle for the capability to have 5 or 10 rounds of ammunition in your bolt gun. Rifle stocks using this bottom metal will need to be inletted.

I would think AICS only, he makes no mention of AW. Would you be able to use AW with different bottom metal?

I'm interested, been looking for an action to build a rifle on. This seems like a good place to start, and the price is nice too.

HI Sean, The action should handle the ai mags with no problem. We can do a RBLP but I would not have a good timeline on the finish date. I would have to order a PTG bolt for that. We currently do not make a right hand left eject bolt. It would be easier for us to do a Right hand right eject - and add a left feed port.
50.00 upcharge for that config.

Thanks Jim ,

Well guys, I'm officially on board. Pierce short action repeater, .223 bolt face color OD green with a 20MOA rail and Tactical knob. I'm pretty excited about these, and the only negative I can see so far is that you need to use the Pierce aluminum picatinny rail. I've dealt with juanvaldez before and have full confidence in him. Have to give him credit for bringing these in.
