DRG and Aim cast bullets

I almost bought some .38 DRG cast bullets today, but was unsure if i will need to lube and/or gas check them? Can anyone help out with an answer? Also do aim .38's come plated or cast (along with same questions if they are cast).

Thanks. I will probably go the aim route but the DRG are about 40 to 60 bucks per 1000 cheaper, but if I have to lube and gas check it's not worth the savings.

Thanks that may be better then 2 local suppliers have them in the 30 dollar range per 500.

I use the DRG .38s and like them. They are cast and lubed already as are most commercial cast boolits. No need for gas checks with MOST pistol rounds, and these boolits will not be of the shape to use them anyways.

Thanks, I think i will pick up the DRG then. They seem to be the most economical. Now if i could just find some .44 mag TMJ i would be rockin

Simmons sells them at a fair price! They usually have them in stock. I am using Hard Cast .357 with 5-6 grains of Bullseye with good results. Just the slightest hint of leading in the forcing cone. For the really hot loads I am using FMJ. But for the money can't go wrong with lead for the plinkers.

Humasson's and Lawry's are cheaper than Simmons for the DRG. I shop Simmons as much as i can (Tim and Keith have been good to me) but sometimes their prices are somewhat high.

I was talking about the Jacketed .44 mag. Where is Humassons, and Lawry's? Websites? I can't find lawry's online.

Humassons is in ancestor and lawry's is in caledonia. Yeah I saw the .44 there but I would like a better price if I can, prob just get them there though.

Deos anyone know who sells DRG cast bullets in northern ont., & if they make
them in .313-314 in 90-100 gr SWC configuration?

DRG are excellent cast bullets. If your looking for custom stuff gas checked. The Bullet Barn in BC. It's worth a bulk order . Bullet Barn excellent. Wolf also excellent cast.
