heres one of my red rifles, that turned green!

my go too ak, is this SAR-1 romanian rifle, the only things i did to it, was change the sights to tritium night sights, stoned the trigger assembly to make it smoother, and it now has a nice crisp allmost two stage let off, and i sanded and then painted the stock set o.d. green!

damnit i cant figure out how to post this picture!!!! anyone got any ideas as too how i can do it!

I would use Imgur.

Then, post the picture link from Imgur Inside brackets like this

We are allowed Valmet 78 and Sa VZ58's and a few variants. Valmet 78 and CZ 858 are non restricted, the others are not. Maybe you could show our government that an AK-47 doesnt just fly out of your hands and kill everything in sight? They seem to think thats all the AK does... Hell weve got semi autos with long barrels and full size rifle proportions that are prohibited for no good reason. The Dragonuv is one. Just cause it looks like an AK... but anyays thats some good shooting, I think I speak for everyone here when I say I'd like to see more of your AKs. We've got some short barrelled shotguns we'll trade ya ;)

Ummm, how the hell did the topic go from an emerald green SKS that's supposed to be an olive-drab SAR AK47 variant...

To the legality of AK47's in Canada and their differences compared to CZ858/VZ58...?

are yoyu guys not even allowed saiga semi auto up there! i mean if they are all hell bent on not allowing something based upon pistol grips, etc.... they should let you at least have the sporters with regular rifle stock sets! but then again gun laws in general dont make any sense to me!

Actually, we are allowed to have pistol grips, you're thinking of the other CA, california. We have AR's, and lots of cool guns, though we are matched by just as many stupid laws!

Sigh, I hope to make a trip down south just to try out some full autos...and trust me on this, you will soon see the amount of stupidity we are surrounded by when it comes to our gun laws.

in an older post i cant remember whos, someone sadi one of the reasons the ak was not allowed by you folks up there was due to its pistol grip!

and if they didnt want them due to them being an ak, for fahk sakes they should at least let you own saiga's!!!! they are built like an ak, the only difference is they are not select fire, dont have pistol grips, and the location of the fire control group, and the fire control group parts, are a bit different!

they come in a multitude of calibers, from 5.56-7.62x39-5.45x39-.308-.3006-and a 7.62x54mm version on the way!!!!

man i feel for you poor, downtrodden, folks!!!! i might have to go empty a few mags at the range tommorow for you all lol!!!!

a 7.62x54mm version on the way!!!!

crazy s**t!

I love canada for all it's worth, but i've considered a few times moving to a more gun friendly country. unfortunately its not like one can just pick up his house and move it across the border, and just set up residence.

to be clear, it is just because it is called an AK, and as you said SAIGAs are built the same way (making it a terrible baby killing variant), so they are a no-no.

but as some other member said, we get some cool guns up here, and the only reason for that is select few fight hard for our rights, and work hard to bring new guns in.

I can only imagine what a liberal majority would have done this term.
