Boy i must have been a good boy lately. Friday the 21st is our second wedding anniversary and just after dinner tonight my wife gave me an envelope with a card for me. I opened it and and found the sales receipt for the Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in .270 i have been wanting for some time, in fact i ordered one a couple weeks ago and she behind my back went to the gunshop i ordered from and she paid the bill for my gun. I am almost at a loss for words. she's a keeper thats for sure...i will post a picture or 2 when it arrives.

Did she pay for it out of your joint account? If so you just paid for your own second anniversary present :p. Sounds like a smart woman :)

It does not matter where the $$$$ came from its the thought that blows me away as she is just now after 8 years starting to enjoy the gun hobby. She is begining to come to the range with me and is shooting my .357 mag Marlin Cowboy. She is a smart lady and i am a lucky man

Great gal she is definitely a keeper! Now you will have to out do her on the next occassions. Sound like an expensive and romantic Valentine's day is coming up :p
 
Smart man to find such a woman . . . smart woman who can afford such a man! This is an old saying . . . the names have been switched to protect the innocent.

Mine saw the CNBC Remington 700 show the other day. I countered with the Remington700.tv segment so now she believes the truth is somewhere in between. I will not hold my breath waiting for her to pay for my next acquisition.
 
Well the new rifle got here today with the rifle she also got me a new Bushnell Legend 5x15x40AO complete with rings and mounting bases, she sure has been paying attention to my rants about what i wanted...

this gun has real nice wood. Boy now i can hardly wait to get the scope mounted and boresighted, with my new boresighter that i picked up on ebay the other day

you know i just can't get all excited about Leupold scopes, i like there rings and mounts, but i do prefer Bushnell scopes, i have 2 nice scopes and a rangefinder and they do what i want them to do. thats all i can ask for.
 
Congratulations on both counts, that rifle is the only American made, commercially and currently offered rifle I really like. Good on ya. Perfect calibre also. Hope it is the second of many years of fine anniversaries.
 
Howdy, great gift-my wife has one that that I bought a few xmas's ago-friends were shocked that she got a rifle for xmas, I just ordered a scope for it and hopefully she will let me use it for coyotes etc. when I move up there. LOL

Gord you have a great women, you obviously take good care of her ,and have a healthy relationship! I made the mistake of selling the one and only shotgun my wife bought me for my B-Day, big mistake, never will se another!!! congrats boy! Dale Z
