anyone heard of big buck taken in east SK?

A guy who scores Henry Kelsey and Boone & Crockett said he scored a deer 217+ net typical from the east side of the province. They are trying to keep it quiet until its panel scored but he wouldn't tell me more about it. I wonder why not?:D Personally the way he smiled I didn't believe him, so here I am asking around. He has no reason to bs me, but I haven't heard from anyone else. Either way new record or not there was some nice deer taken the season. I heard huge mulies too!

I heard it was a 247 Non-typical, although i haven't seen the pictures and if my info is correct I know exactly where it was shot, and I know by whom, and is well within my old stompin grounds.(Note; All this is heresay at this point)

I have, its a big deer. It was shot by foam lake sask, it measured up at 246 0/8 after 3 different judges measured it. The record one is called the stone buck, its said to be a new record but it doesnt even look close to milos buck.

The so called new world record buck was shot by charels stone, there is pictures of it on the net. Deffinately big, lots of mass big beams wide but it sure doesn't look like a 217 net but I guess the tape will tell.

I've already seen all of those pics. From what I had heard there was supposedly a new world record typical. I made a few phone calls to a few measurers that were asked to help score Milos. I assumed if there was, they would be the first to know. From what they said, there isn't the slightest chance of a new record... Still a lot of big deer shot this year in Sk... I was surprised by the lack of mule deer going into B&C though..

Wow, four incredible racks. It is too bad that nobody posted any pictures of these great animals before they were caped out. It would be nice to see the body size to go along with the racks. I guess field pictures might give away someones spot.
Great trophies regardless.

I heard today that there was one shot on the Mosquito Indian Reserve that goes a few inches bigger than Milo Hansen's buck, but it was shot with a rim fire in the muzzle loader season and is not eligible for the book. I will try to source out some pics.

A rimfire? WTF did someone put one behind its ears while sleeping?

Don't answer that.

The rumour I hear is that it was taken by Charlie Stone and he is full blood and a member of the mosquito reserve. He is an outfitter and outfits both north of Battleford and south on the reserve. I have seen pics and it is big but I am not convinced it will score more than Milos deer. Nice deer non the less. The gun in the picture is a tikka and I was told it was a .22-250. Could all be a load of crap too......

Supposedly two different sets of pics exist. One with him in camo and a rim fire and one set with him in blaze orange with a center fire. I haven't seen them, but got the story from a reliable source.

Yes. The rumored 217 typical was taken by Charles Stone. I know a guy who has saw it and he sent me pictures. I dont think its 217 and he doesnt think so either after seeing it in person. Still a big wide beautiful buck but it doesnt seem to have the tine length to score up. it is a centerfire rifle in the pic but who knows what calibre. And he is allowed to use whatever he wants whenever he wants so it doesnt really matter.
