Hi All

A Buddy of mine has a Dial Sight from a Mk 2 Vickers Machine Gun and was wondering if anyone out there has any idea as to it's value and possibly the best place to sell it.

It looks to be in Excellent to Mint condition and comes in a green purpose built box which is green in colour (suprise, suprose) and has the following white stencilled letters

Box, Dial Sight, Vickers M.G., MK.2*

Any help would be very gratefully recieved

Dave

I got a few PM's on this but nobody gave any indication as to what it was worth.

I quite agree: this thread is worthless without pictures.

I'm just wondering what those big, coloured things might be. They do take up about a zillion pixels, but what do I know, anyway?

Be something fun to play with.

Even more fun if this still was a free country: take the complete set to the range and try it out.

Ach, zo: ve do ass ve are ordered, yes? Befehl ist befehl!

Maybe try looking at the times for when he originally posted his question, I responded and then he updated his post and added the pictures. M'kay?:kickInTheNuts:

Nice pictures, Blade!:)

It looks to be in fantastic condition.

Unfortunately, I can't offer any estimate, but sooner or later one of our more knowledgeable members should be able to do so.

I have seen them priced around $500 to $600. Depending on condition of optics and if knobs are free turning and not damaged. The tin also should contain 2 emergency levels and a bore level... along with a webbing carry strap.

As for selling... ebay may be your best bet...

I actually had a hold of the thing when I took the pics. I can't remember what was in the box but the knobs and everything seemed to be in really great condition and moved like a swiss clock.

thanks for the feedback
