For those of you who have the new Mossberg tactical .22, what is it like for reliability? It looks cheap in pictures but does it jam a lot? Specific things breaking?

I have about 1500 rounds into mine and nothing has broke. I have had it jam maybe 20 times. I think a few of those were due to me being lazy and only giving the gun a quick cleaning before using it.

So in your opinion it is worth cheeping out and paying the $300 over the $600 for a 10/22? I mean I don't expect a whole lot coming from mossberg and only being a $300 gun just that it doesn't jam like every clip kind of thing. It's nice that it is non-restricted though and pretty similar to an AR.

The reason I got it was I do not have the 600 to spend on a ruger or M&P. I do not own any of the others, and have never fired one so I will let someone else speak to if it's worth the difference. What I can say is so far I am very happy with it.

Fair enough. Anyone else out there have any opinions?

I own a Mossy, and a 10/22. I was really surprised that the Mossy hasn't had ONE problem with over 1400rds. Not one issue!

My Ruger has had a few jams, but nothing serious.

It is a lot cheaper than a SR22 but is lighter buy a ton! You can't really compare these two guns though. I will say the action of a 10/22 is much smoother. Trigger pull on the Mossy isn't too bad at all though. Better than a stock 10/22!

I absolutley love my tactical .22, but I bought it because it's light, cheaper, looks super cool, and the wow factor. ( not many people around my neck of the woods carry anything like this! )

So my review so far.... is excellent.Time will tell. The one thing I'm concerned about is the take down of the gun. The gun is plastic, so the more you strip it bare to do a good clean, the more chances of accidentially stripping where the screws seat. IF I had to rate the gun out of 10 I'd honestly give it an 8 out of 10.

Got one coming !
There's a few reviews on Youtube ...all seem to be thumbs up for the Mossy Tactical 22 .
I'm already thinking of accessories...

Ya im thinking of picking one up. I already own a stock 10/22 so if I really wanted to I could buy a kit for it. Think i'm just going to pick a mossberg up instead something different.
