I am thinking about getting a CZ 455 and I have been trying to find reviews on the gun but they are newer and I can only find one review. It is an unbiased review but i usually like to read a few reviews on the gun before the financial outlay of the gun.

Price is not an issue so being more expensive is not a huge issue.

Do any of you guys own one?

Thoughts, feelings... good, bad, indifferent?

The other rifle I have been looking at is the savage Mark 3 BSEV.... BUT changing that HORRIBLE stock to what the BV has (or similar).

Then skip both you mentioned, and get a custom, engraved Cooper or a competition grade Anschultz.

I myself have a Cooper 22LR,but I intend to purchase a CZ 452 while they are still available,as a loaner gun for the relatives to use to shoot ground squirrels.

Ok... maybe I should say that this is a gun for hunting... Kitty's, rabbits, grouse... some what of a gun that I do not have to worry about like a Anschultz

Cooper is a great recommendation but Anschultz is not so much what I am looking for.

I don`t own a 455 but the reviews on Rimfire central seem to be positive. I have a 425 but the option of different barrels looks promising. Coopers are nice check out Prophet Rivers web sight, Clay has some very nice toys.
 
A buddy and I had the opportunity to put 500 rounds through a CZ 455 standard two weeks ago. It shot very well and shouldered beautifully. The only downside I could find was that if you drew the bolt back slowly after the shot, the ejected cartridge would occassionally not clear the action. This happend 3 times in 500 shots with 2 shooters. So it's not really an issue.
Accuracy wise it was shooting about 3/4" at 50 yards. This was just plinking with bulk ammo so I would imagine you could do even better. Do not hesitate to pick up a 455 they are great.
 
Like stubblejumper I plan on adding another CZ 452 probably the Mannlicher full stock befoe they disappear. The 455 may be OK but I think the switch barrel, switch caliber thing is the ideal solution to a non-existent problem.

If the 452 came in a switch barrel option, for sure I'd have a lot less rifles. Now that I have a bunch 452's I have no desire to try out the 455 product, although the new semi auto holds some interest for me. FS
 
Yes the new CZ512 looks really nice in the catalogue. And I held one in P&D and it felt nice and looked good up close. I want it to be out a while and reads some user reports before I buy it however, even with the good reputation of CZ.
 
If you get a 455 you will be happy. They have the two action screws and full floating barrels which I must add are easier to tune if you wish to go that route. I picked up a not so readily available 455 varmint thumbhole and had it out a couple times now and love its heft, the beautiful fit and finish, and its a shooter. It shoots as well as my buddies 452 varmint, right out of the box; and I cant wait to see what it does pillered and bedded. .862" dia barrel X 20 1/2" Here's a pic of it...

I have a 455 and couldn't be happier. It is very accurate, .375" groups at 50 yards with 17hmr. I put 200 round through it last weekend and have not had any shell ejection issues. You won't be disappointed.
 
Yes, it seems some have iron sights and some do not. I examined one with iron sights (P&D) and while they are at least still front blade instead of blade and bead; they just don't appeal to me the way the original iron sights of the 452 are set up.
I also don't think they would take the knocking around that the old set-up will, not that they should have to survive knowcking around but it is nice to know they can. The 452 FS with the older sights looks like a traditional military firearm and jjust screams high quality classic european. Also iy is very much a mountain rifle which is nice when you live only a few hours from the mountains.
